The "Package Holidays" is the partnership between Air France and "Voyages Sur Mesures" via the website volhotel.airfrance.fr. This website proposes holidays among 12 European countries, and more than 150 destinations worldwide.
Air France (officially, Air France Corporate) is the number one French airline company. It serves the main French airports, as well as a very large number of foreign (83) countries and became a partner of KLM to change its name to Air France-KLM. It is also a part of the alliance SkyTeam and its main hub is the airport Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle with which it maintains numerous agreements of exploitation. Air France possesses the certification IOSA of the IATA.
Three main activities (of the group Air France-KLM):
- The passenger transport: Number one European group with 25.5 % market shares and number one international group in terms of turnover.
- The transport by freight: Number one international group (Air france Klm Cargo) for the transport of international freights, but as a integrator, it is the 3rd in the world after Fedex and UPS.
- The maintenance and the services of planes: Number one international multi-products operator. The company "Voyages Sur Mesures" is a tour operator which is also associated with lastminute.com.
It proposes these services only through these two companies.We are thus going to study the partnership, as well as the offers proposed by these two companies through various analyses, first, on the industry then on capacity of both companies and their partnership.
We shall limit our analysis to the segment industry of airline companies proposing the same service in the French market.
