The article discusses Albi's classification as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010 and describes the tourist and economic impact on the city since its classification. It is worth asking what economic impact such a classification can have on a small provincial town like Albi. Albi, with a population of around 3,500 inhabitants, does not have the same level of influence, but it has experienced strong attractiveness in one year since its classification as a UNESCO World Heritage Site: the article states that tourist attendance has doubled in one year.
