Abstract
My business concept will concern the external decoration and will consist in the development of a product at the spring and garden purpose, more precisely scented candles. The innovative business idea lies in the fact that the scented candles for garden will be adapted for the United Arab Emirates country. Indeed, there already exists candles and even scented candles for the interior decoration but none enterprise markets scented candles with a lot of fragrances for external decoration.
I will be in charge of its adaptation on the United Arab Emirates area. The aim will be to offer a handmade scented candle which will merge with the garden environment well. Currently, the most of candles are made from eighty until ninety percents of paraffin (wax) and ten until twenty percents of stearin. The wax is a derivative from oil : it has a clear crystalline structure and is yellowish at white (or colorless) for a fusion temperature comprised between 48° Celsius and 71°Celsius.
But there exists equally candles which are more ethical, organic and ecological: we also can find candles which are produced thousand percents natural with the soya wax. The soya wax is not toxic and burns more cleanly than paraffin. Candles which are composed of soya wax also burns longer than traditional candles. Moreover, the soya wax is biodegradable.
About the wicks of candles, there are a lot of varieties. We can use cotton, paper, linen, hemp, plant fiber and sometimes glass fiber. What's more, the wicks can be covered with wax for a better striking. Different sizes of wicks are available, they generally are expressed in gram or meter or simply qualified of small, medium and large.
