After an overview of the business market, I chose an Event in the UK environment: The World Travel Market 2008 which is a B2B exhibition taking place in London every year and which aims is to promote the travel market and it's actors and generate a network between them. Throughout this event, we focused on the key stages of an event management to insure a successful study. We have, in the second part a view of the conference outline: aim, venue, the participants and the organization of this successful event. Then, we have in the third part a focus on the conference's critical success factors, and the next step was a discussion on event management process. We focused on how to manage the conference in the context of pre-event, real-time and post management. We finished this study by recommendations for the next event. Organizing a conference is not an easy task. Lots of factors have to be considered, and this complex process depends on several steps that an event manager has to respect to be successful. The aim of this study is to understand this process by giving an example of a conference.
