The document discusses the benefits and personal experiences of eutonie exercises, focusing on balance, proprioception, and relaxation.
[...] I chose to practice the position of controlling the spine in rotation, lying on my side, my legs folded against me and my arms stretched out to the sides of my body. I chose this position because it seemed adapted to my daily problems, particularly tensions in the middle of my back at the end of the day and stiffness in my shoulders with stress. I knew that by choosing an exercise close to my needs, I would have more ease in seeing an improvement. From the very first time, I felt more relaxed and aligned with myself, and the pains faded away. [...]
[...] This work can be useful to me because I can thus know what each exercise and stretching does, which allows me to be better counselors. I don't think I can be competent in my practice as an eutonist if I haven't felt the effects of each exercise I propose. I'm glad to have felt concrete effects from the exercises I've tried, because it allows me to be more convincing. Without it, I wouldn't be convincing in transmitting knowledge to a novice population. RELAXATION SESSIONS 1. [...]
[...] I didn't realize the relaxation sessions and I had little knowledge of anatomy, however I tried several times to show what I could on the skeleton to illustrate my points. Apart from that, I often took the floor throughout the year because I am really very interested in eutony. I even filled out the first questionnaire with great care to try to immerse myself in this fascinating matter. At the moment I have kept as much trace as possible of the entire sessions to be able to go back to them later. [...]
[...] Eutony has made me discover a new universe. I attached myself to it during these 9 sessions and I know that I will continue to perfect myself later. I didn't expect to feel such an investment in this practice but I found myself looking to be as pedagogical as possible through regular speeches and demonstrations, especially on the skeleton, in order to share my enthusiasm. 3. I had the opportunity to realize that I wasn't very comfortable in anatomy because I never had any training on the subject and I think it would be useful for me to deepen my knowledge in this field in order to perfect myself in the teaching of eutony. [...]
[...] However, we must be careful to be very pedagogical in our explanations because these are people who sometimes have preconceptions and they need to understand before doing. From a more practical point of view, it is obvious that gentle exercises should be prioritized, we cannot afford to do all the stretches with this profile of people, especially since this can lead to increased pain and frustration which would not be beneficial for the continuation of the practice.
