Abstract
Every morning, we wake up with the wonderful melody coming from our alarm pushing us to get up. Several minutes later, we take a shower with the radio turned on. A little later in the school bus, we listen to music again, and while we walk, we listen to our iPod. During the class, one receives a text message and out comes the music. After school, a friend calls you to meet up, and there is music again from the phone.
Everywhere we go, we hear music: if you go to a hotel, there will be music playing, if you get in the elevator, there is music. The same phenomenon extends to car-parks, swimming pools, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Music is everywhere, and this shows its importance. In this essay, I will try and analyze the various reasons for music to be of interest to many, the benefits of listening to music and finally the effects it brings to our lives.
