[...] The average price of the actions over the period 2014-2023 allows us to smooth out the fluctuations in the price of the actions over our period, since some years the price increases very strongly and others, it falls a lot, as will be revealed by the subsequent calculation of the rates of variation (or growth of the price of the actions). It appears that Hermès is the stock with the highest average price at 837.32?, followed by LVMH (402.775?), Renault (55.679?), BNP Paribas (53.631?), Total (45.774?), Air France (34.255?) and Crédit Agricole (11.08?). [...] The average return (expressed in is the total return to the power with the number of years equal to 10. The actuarial rate (expressed in corresponds to the effective return that an investor realizes over a given period. It is expressed by the average return - 1. The risk (expressed in is the standard deviation of Paerson of the returns of each stock for each year. We can interpret the results obtained. Firstly, the total return is the highest for LVMH followed by Hermès Total then Crédit Agricole BNP Paribas Renault and Air France (0.83%). [...]
[...] Note also that LVMH and Hermès experienced only one year in which the share price fell, in 2020, the year of the Covid-19 health crisis. 1.2 Analysis of dividends distributed by each company from 2014 to 2023 (cf. Excel sheet Dividende) Regarding the evolution of dividends, the analysis is briefer, in that Air France does not distribute dividends over the studied period, and that the 2019 dividend was not paid by many companies (Crédit Agricole, BNP Paribas, Renault, in addition to Air France) due to the Covid-19 crisis. [...]
[...] In addition, the average return is the strongest for LVMH followed by Hermès Crédit Agricole and Total BNP Paribas Renault and Air France (0.98%). The actuarial rate is the highest for LVMH (13.71%), followed by Hermès (12.02%), Total Crédit Agricole BNP Paribas Renault and Air France (-1.82%). The riskiest stock is Air France (72.6%) which reflects its high volatility in its return (more precisely its price, since Air France does not distribute dividends) while the risk for the other stocks is between 19% (Total) and 32% (Hermès). [...]
