Abstract
I am a first year student preparing a Bachelor degree in International Business at the ESC Graduate School of Management based in Aurillac, France. My course gives me the opportunity to put my knowledge into practice during an eight-week work experience placement in a company. This period is as from June 1st 2011 and the aim is to give undergraduate students a practical insight into the workings of an international company.
I am very interested in the outdoor pursuits sector and I feel that BERGHAUS UK could offer me the chance to observe and learn from a practical experience of your business activity. I know that your products are sold in high street specialized shops all over the UK, as well as online and by mail-order. I would be interested in gaining experience in one or several of your departments and I would be pleased to consider any ideas that you may have for my work for placement.
I am a keen rock climber and a member of my local outdoor pursuits club. I am also a voluntary fireman and regularly in situations which demand of me an accurate assessment of the situation as well as the ability to work well in a team. I am willing to find myself accommodation wherever you have a work placement offer and I welcome the opportunity of facing the challenge of speaking English in a professional environment.
