Tourism Sustainable Ecotourism Rural Tourism Hotel
The International Fair of Tourism - Map of the World, in Porte de Versailles , Paris, was conducted between March 26 and March 31, 2010. This international tourism fair hosted over 100,000 visitors last year, which represents an increase of more than 8% of visitors over 2009. This strong increase shows the growing interest from individuals and professionals to travel agencies in new modes of tourism: responsible tourism, adventure, etc.
Mass tourism appeared during the 60s with the emergence of because of paid vacations in many industrialized countries; this form of tourism has allowed a lot of people from all social classes to travel and support the economic sector of tourism.
Sustainable tourism is a direct emanation of sustainable development. This new vision of tourism is born of awareness about the negative impact of mass tourism on the environment and local populations. In sustainable tourism, we define 2 different forms of tourism: fair tourism and ecotourism.
