The transformation of Nine Elms from Industrial wasteland to luxury neighborhood : Would a different evolution have been possible ?

Abstract

Nine Elms is a neighborhood in the southern suburbs of London. At the time it was an industrial district, compound of a power plant, train lines and the biggest fruit, vegetables and flowers market in the country. The district was the object of a study for an industrial project of transformation of the zone in luxury neighborhood.
