[...] It is a great honor to be among you today. On the occasion of this 28the United Nations Climate Change Conference - which are particularly dear to Vietnam we are currently gathered to share common wills and ambitions, in line with our climate future. We aspire to work together, in the same direction, in order to shape a better, breathable and viable world: it is our duty, for our children, for their children after them and for the future of Humanity. [...] - Finally, if Vietnam continues to uphold its obligations and respect its commitments to the world, this evolution that we aspire to, these changes that we want to make will only be possible on the basis of principles of equity and justice, on the basis of actions, initiatives and practical and concrete commitments. We must promote and guarantee the self-sufficiency and energy security of all our nations, promote access to green, clean energy and at prices that will enable each of our peoples to participate in this transition. And this must necessarily involve the institutionalization of entities and bodies that enable and facilitate the energy transition. It is to this consensus that we must strive, together. [...]
[...] Vietnam therefore reaffirms all the commitments made at the G7 and maintains its resolutions taken since the COP 26 in Glasgow. Our goal remains the 'net zero emissions' by 2050. We will do everything to achieve it and we have already taken this path: - We have already launched a mobilization of resources plan to implement the Political Declaration on the establishment of the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP). As President Macron mentioned yesterday, here, it is 50 billion dollars that have been committed to energy transition partnerships, and we are proof that these methods are the solution to get out of fossil energies.
