The media market in Nordic countries is highly concentrated; according to the NORDICOM research center, a handful of broadcasters account for 90% of nationwide viewing time - the remaining companies compete for the remaining 10%. In some Nordic countries, such as Iceland, the public broadcast company RÚV alone concentrates a little under 60% of audience share.
