[...] For example, the organization guaranteed order by maintaining public security: this was achieved by training a new police force and protecting the borders from external aggression. During the first presidential elections, the UN perfectly organized this process, preventing violence and fraud. In addition, UN peacekeeping was responsible for reconstruction, including anti-economic or illegal activities: indeed, it prevented the strengthening of criminal gangs and unstable groups and assisted in the reconstruction of border areas.
