[...] The objective of this research is to analyze the practices, representations, and expectations of IPAs, who practice or do not practice the prevention of overweight and obesity, in order to assess whether the competence of IPAs through an educational and behavioral approach, enriched by a holistic vision, could contribute to reducing the occurrence of weight gain in hypertensive patients aged 45 to 65 years. This approach aims to identify the obstacles and levers that will enable professional practices to evolve. The results obtained will enable us to design projects and measures adapted to our future practice as IPAs, with the aim of considering a coherent, efficient, and beneficial implementation for both patients and healthcare professionals. The intervention of an APN in a context of HTA and overweight or obesity seems relevant; all the more so as 'the incidence and prevalence of chronic diseases are constantly increasing'Ibid., 2024).
