Abstract
The Alliance Française de Sydney is a French-Australian organization, being settled on the Australian ground, it functions in accordance with the Australian regime. While studying an organization, we firstly need to determine what the instruments of the cultural policy in Australia are. Indeed, in the context of an increasingly sponsor-driven environment, we also have to identify how the cultural policy of a not for profit cultural organization is affected. Furthermore, in light of the actions of the Alliance Française, one may wonder how important the implantation of the French culture and its means are, guaranteeing hence the success of the cultural events organized at and/or by it.
