A structured integration policy by the Personalized Republican Integration Pathway The law of March reformed the policy of welcoming foreigners in France, imposing on first arrivals wishing to settle permanently a Personalized Integration Pathway, whose objective is that they can grasp the values of the Republic, learn French and promote their social and professional integration. However, as Myriam Hachimi-Alaoui points out, certain people signing this contract actually reside in France for more than ten years, which reveals both the administrative delays to obtain a regular status and the potential inappropriateness of the CIR's objectives for audiences already settled for a long time.
