Abstract
In this dissertation, I will discuss an alternative to traditional concrete houses, namely wooden houses, which includes both houses completely made of wood and houses with a wood structure. I chose the subject because environment is a high priority subject today. This topic is up-to-date, since scientists, governments and people in general have become aware that we have to preserve the Earth to live in a healthy space. My plan is divided into three parts. We will study the History of the use of wood then the advantages and the drawbacks of building in wood. In conclusion I will develop my personal opinion and give examples of this subject.
