Abstract
The story takes place in Mexico. Juan Miranda a robber of diligence meets John Mallory an Irish revolutionary specialized in the dynamite. In the beginning Juan wants to kill John, but John says " I wouldn't shoot if I were you. If you kill me, half of this country will vanish, including yourself ". Juan sees in John a good solution to burgle the bank of his dream.
Juan looks for to persuade John for going to Mesa Verde to burgle the bank. Juan is completely obsessed by money and says "we will become rich". John teams with Juan and they leave to Mesa Verde. The doctor Villega makes an attack plan with Juan and John, in the cavern of the coffee, for enter in the bank. They blow up the entry of the bank, Juan and John enter in the bank, they open all the door, they don't find money, but they find political prisoners. John sees a last door he thinks : "behind this door they were many gold but it's false." Behind this door it's simply the exit ! Juan becomes a hero of the Revolution
