Bill O'Reilly was a correspondent for ABC from 1986 to 1989. He is known for being one of the first American journalists to cover the dismantling of the Berlin wall in 1989. He also had experience as a war journalist since he covered the wars in El Salvador and in the Falkland islands. This controversial public figure owes his success partly to his "in-your-face-style" that leaves no chance to his guests to let a question go unanswered.
