Spain is a European country situated on the South Western of France, on the Eastern side of Portugal. It is boarded by Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Ocean.
As we can see it on the picture, the Spanish flap is composed of three colours: red on the top, a yellow stripe and a second red one.
The yellow stripe gets the king badge on the middle. This 'badge' represents the king stamp, squared by two Hercules columns, picturing the two Gibraltar and Ceuta Mounts, situated on each side of Gibraltar Detroit.
Spanish government is called a constitutional monarchy.
Spain belongs to the 'Euro Area' since 2000.
Its current president is José Maria Aznar. The country is divided into 17 'communidades' also called 'autonomies': Andalucía, Aragón, Asturias, Islas Baleares, País Vasco, Islas Canarias, Cantabria, Cataluña, Castilla - La Mancha, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Galicia, La Rioja, Madrid, Murcie, Navarre, Comunidad Valenciana. Spain gets also two autonomies-cities: Ceuta and Melilla.
José Luis Zapatero is the government president since 2004, just after José Maria Aznar.
Today, Spain is a member of European Union.
