In about 250 words, the purpose of this paper is to discuss the following subject: Artificial intelligence means the end of humanity.
[...] Artificial Intelligence Means the End of Humanity Artificial intelligence has been a prominent topic of science fiction since its beginning in the 19th century. That coincides with the rise of mechanization and early computerization during the Industrial Revolution, in exchange with humanism going down. In a world of cold technology that goes beyond the understanding of laypeople, the concerns for man's ability to keep things under control are legitimate. To most people, A.I. is a machine so enhanced it overcomes man in all aspects, and comes with an individual personality that apes human traits, including anger and sadism. [...]
[...] A.I. has its own advantages but is not yet in power to truly threaten us. We call those machines smart, but they are just programmed to perform certain tasks faster and more accurately. Some are beginning to learn on their own, like for face recognition. But still, that is no thinking, not as much as humans can take into account, ponder and sometimes take the risk to decide. Humanity's downfall could come earlier than we think, by our own fault. [...]
