The United States seems to be the biggest polluter in comparison with the other countries, and more precisely with the European and Asian ones. As an example, The United States emits 50% more greenhouse gases than the European Union for each dollar of GDP. America can be considered as the environmental villain. Moreover, an American citizen consumes 20 tons of carbon dioxide per year against 8.4 for each citizen in Europe. The differences between the states are obvious. America consumes even more than any other country in the world.
