Christian Dior was founded in 1905 in Normandy. In 1946, Dior opened his legendary home at 30 Avenue Montaigne. In February 1947, Dior launched his first collection called Corolle, where women were drawn like flowers. It was the beginning of the success story. Every fashion book said that the fashion industry began in 1947 with the new look of Christian Dior. The designer created a first subsidiary in the United States, and in 1955 Yves Saint Laurent became his assistant. Christian Dior died of a heart attack at 52 years old.
There was a succession of different designer after Christian Dior:
-First in 1957 there was Yves Saint Laurent ;
-Then Marc Bohan replaced Yves Saint Laurent until 1989 ;
-In 1997, Dior opens another chapter with the arrival of John Galliano ;
John Galliano focused on brand notoriety, visibility, youth; thanks to his eccentricity, extravagance, and "avant-gardisme" style. Galliano enabled the brand to become the most famous French brand, and his revolutionary shows will stay forever in memories.
The facts:
There are three altercations, and they took place in the same cafe named La Perle in Paris (Le Marais, Paris 3e). In the three incidents all victims described that the designer was drunk and under drugs effect. Galliano was suing for "Public insults based on origin, religious affiliation, race or ethnicity".
[...] The reaction of Nathalie Portman5: Nathalie Portman Israeli-American actress, muse of the perfume Miss Dior Cherie, said in a press release am shocked and disgusted by the remarks of John Galliano on this video I'm Jewish and proud of it, I do not want to be associated with Mr. Galliano in any way". [...] The second incident took place in the same café in October 2010 but the woman decided to sue the designer on February 2011, for injures she received, he made fun of her look, and she denounced racial remarks such as "Jewish face" December 2010: A third incident was recorded on a video and published by The Sun. The tape shows John Galliano saying love Hitler" or "you should have been dead"? but there was no law sues for this case. The reaction of Dior4: Dior had to make a decision. [...]
