Abstract
Most people, at first sight, have the wrong image of the U.S.A. In the poorest countries, and even in European and other wealthy countries, a lot of people associate the U.S.A. with the image of "a golden land? as the media portrays. For the poor people, the US is a country where they hope to find a new chance, a new life, and for young Europeans, the place that offers them the opportunities and the success they dream about. This so-called "American dream? does exist. But, it is also easy to realize that the U.S.A. is in reality far from these kinds of dreams. Indeed, U.S. citizens have to cope up with everyday realities of their country's weakness.
