Abstract
This report contains the procedure which was followed by a group of senior students from Virginia Tech's electrical engineering department to set up a lab where one may study the combination of wind and solar power generation. Throughout this report, the basics of wind and solar energies used to produce electric power will be described. Moreover, the wiring and setting of the lab will be extensively discussed to provide a real-life example of the combination of both systems. The purpose of such a laboratory is to enable undergraduate students to observe the behavior of such an arrangement and collect data for research purposes.
