Oprah Winfrey, Nelson Mandela, South Africa, Emmeline Pankhurst, individuals make the world, better place
Myths originally aimed at answering question about how important things started and occurred, as the creation of the world and also aimed at teaching moral lessons. A hero is a man endowed with great courage and strength, as Joseph Campbell said "heroes are important because they convey universals truths about one should live ones life and an individual's role in the society". As far as nowadays heroes are concerned, they don't necessarily need to be favoured by the gods, they can be ordinary people, just like you and me. The question I posed is "how can individuals make the world a better place?". I will answer this question with the successful woman Oprah Winfrey, South Africa's first black president Nelson Mandela and Suffragette's leader Emmeline Pankhurst.
