Abstract
The music industry represents an important market share in United Kingdom. Indeed, the music industry is £190m in revenue in 2010, 8% of GDP and around 130 000 employments and the third largest export industry of the country (according to thenextweb.com and culture.gov.uk). These last years, the musical business is in crisis. Nevertheless, nowadays, the leisure industry is more and more important and the interest of the consumer for the music is always important. However, since the late 1990s, a new phenomenon has appeared: the legal and illegal downloading of music. This practice is becoming a common practice for the internet users.
The downloading consists of taking files such as music or movies from internet in order to store them on a personal computer (PC). This phenomenon has started out when the sites of P2P (peer-to-peer) started to appear on Internet. Peer-to-peer sites permit to the users to post music, film and software in order to other people can use it and take it for free.
