[...] For the users, they expect these workshops to be able to answer their questions but also to get closer to care and the social team. Following the analysis of the questionnaires, I thought it was essential to gather the users to give them a feedback on the answers and thus reflect on the implementation of the action. However, due to the health context related to COVID-19, I conducted a telephone feedback because it was difficult to gather them for the CHRS as well as for the coordinating doctor of the PASS device despite social distancing and for their safety. [...] The social security system is the main financier of the hospital. In addition, there may be occasional subsidies from the Regional Health Agency which can help several projects of the establishment. The hospital is composed of 668 beds with 1,847 healthcare staff for different services: oncology, surgery, medicine, geriatrics, women and children's department as well as emergencies and post-emergency unit. The public received is diversified and in need of care. In addition, many people are in great precariousness and present themselves to the social service. [...]
[...] They gave me their agreement to carry out a collective action within their structures. I wanted to involve the CHRS ASS in this project. In fact, it has the mission of participating and piloting collective and group actions in a partnership and network dynamics, involving people. In order to confirm this observation and further support their needs, I created a questionnaire validated by my internship supervisor. This questionnaire consists of 3 parts, including the user's identity, social issues, and health issues. [...]
[...] The day reception welcomes people leaving detention, the homeless, and people in a situation of precariousness. Users have at their disposal changing rooms to put their bags, a laundry room is also available and they can take a breakfast for a euro. Also, a social team composed of specialized educators and an ASS accompanies them in their administrative procedures related to requests for residence permits, requests for housing and health-related requests. The PASS ASS is in close partnership with the CHRS social worker, particularly for medical procedures such as requests for Universal Health Protection (PUMA) for complementary health, or State Medical Aid or for medical questions. [...] They feel the need to drink and smoke to forget their problems and clear their minds. However, this is a well-known problem among users and they are in demand to reduce their consumption and for some, to stop their tobacco and alcohol consumption. The causes of their consumption According to numerous exchanges with users, I noted several causes of their consumption: they explained to me that it could be due to their lifestyle. Following chaotic paths for some, complicated periods for others, the need to consume alcohol was not to be neglected and it allowed them to clear their minds and no longer think about their problems.
