Abstract
The Internet is a recent tool in our society which is becoming essential to our everyday existence. Its expansion has been very fast and now a great majority of people use the Internet which has become a normal and mundane task. According to David Rowe, the internet is defined as "a large number of people, world wide who wish to communicate and share information, a large number of computers with appropriate application software, available to the above people, a communication structure with allows any pair of participating computers to communicate quickly, cheaply and effectively in an ad-hoc way enabling those computers to provide appropriate services to their users? (Rowe, 2000).
It is quite difficult to have precise figures and estimate with certitude the number of web sites available because the growth of the Internet is impressive as we can see on the appendix 1 (p.10) between August 1999 and April 2001. As this trend continues, the rate of the world usage growth between 2000 and 2007 was around 244.7% (Internet World Stats, 2007).
