Abstract

This document presents some interesting facts about the People's Republic of China. Located in Eastern Asia, it occupies an area of 3,705,406 sq. miles. Beijing is its capital city. China's population is 1,321,851,888 as on July 2007. Its currency is the Yuan and the official languages are Mandarin and Cantonese. It follows a communist system of government. It has been a part of the WTO since 2001. It is expected that China will beat US and India by 2030 in its GDP for purchasing power.
