Abstract
On October 29, 2007, at the Teatro Orione in Rome, the presentation of the 2007 Immigration Statistics Dossier Caritas or Migrantes took place. The event, now at its seventeenth edition, was held in the presence of mainstream media, as well as numerous agencies and experts coming mainly from several institutions, local government, services and associations. The dossier, in the last two decades, has been able to keep track the evolution of migration by providing an adequate means of quantitative and qualitative evaluation, with particular attention to data on the presence of foreigners legally residing in Italy. We look into the various facets of this event in this document.
