Sony is a Japanese company, founded in 1946, by an engineer and physicist. The company really began to develop in 1954 after received a license for the manufacturing of transistors, this major event has set the group out to conquer the Asian market. The strategy of the founder was to view the world as a global market and anticipate globalization. This allowed Sony to become an international company and not just a Japanese company on its national market.
They have been one of the biggest competitors on the market in term of electronic products for several decades. One of their biggest successes has been the invention of the Walkman in 1979. Sony is positioning the group as a major market leader in digital entertainment thanks to an important diversity in its activities.
